Terms of Use
Finding Hope on the Spectrum
Autism Empowerment Academy
Effective date: 10/06/26
About these terms
These Terms of Use govern www.findinghopeonthespectrum.com and related online resources operated by Autism Empowerment Academy doing business as Finding Hope on the Spectrum, referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our.” They cover website access, educational content, accounts, and permitted use. Please review them before using our services.
Where acceptance is required, we will present these Terms through an appropriate acceptance process. A separately accepted Autism Empowerment Academy Enrollment and Participation Agreement governs paid Academy participation and controls over these general Terms if they conflict. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information; these Terms do not substitute for any separate privacy consent required by law.
Â
1 Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 to enroll in the Academy, make purchases, or create a participant account. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to bind it. Provide accurate information, protect your login credentials, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. Accounts and paid access may not be shared or transferred without our written permission. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.
Â
2 Educational purpose and professional advice
Our website, podcast, programs, downloads, and related resources provide education and general guidance about autism, relationships, communication, regulation, and meaningful daily participation. Information should be adapted thoughtfully to the individual and setting.
Our content does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment, psychotherapy, legal advice, emergency services, or individualized special-education determinations. Access does not establish a licensed clinical, legal, or school-provider relationship. Seek appropriate individualized guidance from qualified professionals. Do not delay needed care because of content on this site. In an emergency, contact 911 or the appropriate local emergency service.
Â
3 Academy enrollment and purchases
Academy services, program dates, access periods, pricing, payment schedules, withdrawal, refunds, and termination are governed by the accepted Enrollment and Participation Agreement and applicable checkout disclosures. These Terms do not change purchased benefits or create additional charges.
For other products or services, the price, included features, access period, and refund policy will be stated before purchase. We do not create an automatic renewal or subscription through these Terms. Any recurring charge requires a separately disclosed arrangement and appropriate authorization. Nothing limits a non-waivable consumer right. Contact us promptly about billing concerns.
Â
4 Ownership and permitted use
We own or license the protected expression in our website and educational materials, including original text, recordings, videos, e-books, worksheets, graphics, slides, branding, and compilations. Third-party content remains owned by its respective rights holders.
You may view publicly available content and use downloads within any stated license for personal educational purposes. Paid materials are subject to the license in the Enrollment and Participation Agreement or applicable purchase terms. Professionals may apply general ideas and principles in their direct work, but may not copy or distribute protected materials, use the Academy curriculum to teach or certify others without permission, or imply Academy endorsement or certification.
Do not sell, sublicense, upload, publicly post, redistribute, or share access to protected materials without written permission. Nothing restricts uses permitted by law, including applicable fair use, or your use of general knowledge, skills, ideas, procedures, and methods that are not protected intellectual property.
Â
5 Submissions and privacy of others
You retain ownership of original content you submit. You grant us a limited, nonexclusive license to access, store, display to the intended program audience, and use that content as reasonably necessary to deliver and administer the service, comply with law, and protect legal rights. This is not permission to use your identifiable content in advertising. Public or promotional use requires separate authorization.
Submit only content you have authority to share. Protect children, families, students, clients, and other participants. Professional users must comply with applicable privacy requirements, ethics, employer policies, and consent obligations. De-identify examples whenever possible. Do not post confidential records or another person’s private information without lawful authorization.
Â
6 Respectful use and prohibited conduct
Use our website and community respectfully. You may ask questions, disagree in good faith, and provide honest reviews. Respectful criticism alone is not grounds for restriction.
You may not harass or threaten others; impersonate another person; submit unlawful content; disclose another person’s confidential information without authority; infringe intellectual property; share login credentials; introduce malicious code; bypass access controls; interfere with service operation; or use automated tools to extract restricted content or participant data without authorization.
Do not record, screenshot, livestream, or transcribe Academy sessions or another participant’s contribution, or activate an AI notetaker, unless we have given prior written permission and any required consent has been obtained. Company recordings are governed by the Enrollment and Participation Agreement and Privacy Policy.
Â
7 Community moderation and access
We may remove content or restrict website or community access when reasonably necessary to address a material violation, unlawful conduct, a security concern, or a threat to privacy or safety. We will act in good faith and, where appropriate, provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. Decisions affecting paid Academy participation, fees, or refunds are governed by the Enrollment and Participation Agreement. Confidentiality rules help protect participants, but cannot guarantee other users will comply.
Â
8 Third party resources and guest views
Our content may link to external websites, tools, guest resources, products, or services. Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their content, availability, or practices. Guest views are their own, and inclusion does not by itself establish endorsement or clinical validation. Any affiliate or sponsored relationship will be disclosed where required. Evaluate whether a resource is suitable for your circumstances.
Â
9 No guaranteed results and website availability
We do not guarantee any particular developmental, communication, educational, professional, family, or personal result. Testimonials describe individual experiences and do not predict your results. You remain free to give an honest review while respecting lawful privacy and intellectual-property obligations.
We make reasonable efforts to maintain useful, accurate content, but general website information can become outdated or contain errors. To the extent permitted by law, free website content is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. This does not remove express commitments for purchased services, applicable statutory warranties, or non-waivable rights. Website interruptions do not change our obligations under an accepted paid enrollment agreement.
Â
10 Limits on liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use of free website content. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited or to fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence. Claims concerning paid Academy participation are governed by the liability terms of the Enrollment and Participation Agreement. Nothing in these Terms waives non-waivable consumer protections.
Â
11 Disputes and governing law
Please contact us first about concerns so we can attempt a good-faith resolution. Montana law governs these Terms, except where another jurisdiction’s non-waivable law applies. For disputes arising solely from website use, proceedings may be brought in a court with appropriate jurisdiction in Flathead County, Montana, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Academy disputes follow the dispute-resolution process in the accepted Enrollment and Participation Agreement. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive access to eligible small-claims proceedings.
Â
12 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms for future website use and will revise the effective date. Material changes will receive appropriate notice and renewed acceptance where required. Changes do not retroactively alter an accepted Academy agreement, reduce purchased benefits, or increase payment obligations without the agreement or authorization required by law and the applicable contract. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply to the extent lawful.
